Refund Policy

The short version

• Ask within 14 days of a purchase or annual renewal and you get a full refund. No questions asked.
• Email support@avdude.com with your order number. Refunds go back to your original PayPal payment within 5 business days.
• A refunded license key is deactivated, and any future renewal is cancelled.
• After 14 days, purchases aren’t refundable, but you can cancel an annual license anytime, so it doesn’t renew.

Need help before requesting a refund?

We’re happy to help fix the problem first. If you’re having trouble setting up a module, email support@avdude.com and we’ll try to resolve it quickly. Asking for help never affects your right to a refund within the 14 days.

1. The 14-day refund window

This policy is part of our Terms of Sale and applies to modules, Pro add-ons and renewals bought from avdude.com.

New purchases. You can request a full refund within 14 days of the purchase date, for any reason, including a purchase made by mistake. We’d appreciate knowing why, since it helps us improve, but you don’t have to tell us.

Annual renewals. Each renewal gets its own 14-day window, counted from the date the renewal was charged. If you meant to cancel and forgot, this is your safety net.

What happens to your license. When a refund is issued, the license key for that purchase is deactivated and any future renewal is cancelled. Updates and support for that license stop.

About the code. Our software is licensed under the GPL, so a refund doesn’t take back the copy you downloaded; it ends the updates, support and license key you paid for.

2. How to request a refund

Email support@avdude.com, or use the request form at avdude.com/support, within the 14-day window. Include:

• the email address used at checkout;
• your order number or license key;
• the module you’d like refunded.

We confirm by email and issue the refund within 5 business days, back to your original payment method through PayPal. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it can take another 5 to 10 business days to appear. Requests sent on day 14 count, even if we process them later.

3. What isn’t refundable

• Requests after 14 days. We don’t offer partial or prorated refunds for the unused part of an annual license.
• Sharing or reselling a license key, or other misuse of the license as described in our License Terms.
• Fraudulent activity or repeated refund abuse, including repeat refunds for the same module.
• Custom development, which is covered by the written agreement for each project.

4. Cancelling an annual license

Cancelling is different from a refund. To avoid being charged for another year, cancel before your renewal date. Cancel anytime in your PayPal account or by emailing support@avdude.com. Your license stays active until the end of the year you paid for, and you won’t be charged again. See our License Terms.

5. Payment disputes

Please email us before opening a PayPal dispute or a chargeback with your bank. Within 14 days, a refund is faster for you than a dispute. If a payment is reversed through a dispute, the license key is deactivated.

6. Changes and contact

We may update this policy; the version in effect when you bought or renewed applies to that purchase. Questions: support@avdude.com.
